Solid equipment, good location and atmosphere. Loses 1 star for the absolute mess it was to find plates or dumbbells and even just the state the place is left in is sad. Lots of potential to do better but I guess that's why the cheap price.
This USED to be an incredible gym up until 2021. Now the place isn’t managed well at all - most machines are broken for months on end and the music is played at a ridiculously deafening volume. It seems that they know the “Derrimut 24:7” franchise will always do well, so they put zero effort into this gym. And they clearly don’t care about their members. There’s a suggestion box but it seems like that’s just for show as well. Easily the worst derrimut gym of them all, which is a shame because this used to be one of the best Melbourne gyms. Whatever changes have happened in 2021-2022 have made the gym a terrible place. The staff is really nice though, but it unfortunately isn’t managed well at all. I’ve been a member since the gym opened in 2014, and I don’t say this as a troll. I want this gym to be as good as it used to be but I fear that will never happen. Do better. Doherty’s gym in Brunswick is clearly the better gym, so save your time and head there instead. Fix the machines. Fix the music. These are easy problems to fix, so stop being lazy and actually put some effort in this gym.
worked out at home for many years; new to the gym environment; this gym is really big and has everything. i got there at 9pm on a Wednesday; was medium busy then tapered off. got a full body resistance program done. very bright atmosphere, motivating music.
Good gym but now they have cut a lot of their classes. So am disappointed as there were not many to begin with.
On the edge of Airport West (WestField) shopping centre is this very well equiped 24/7 (always open) gym. With lots of exercise equipment and even personal trainers, a woman’s only gym and regular cleaners busily cleaning the venue. The staff are very friendly and accommodating
