Best gym. Good equipment. Great energy. Great staff. Great location. Views…outdoor equipment options. Cityscape/harbour/coast. Easy access/transport hub. Within large retail zone, convenient. Everyone seems to mind their own business and get on with it.
Here’s a list of thing that would send you insane at this gym - Old and unsafe equipment - No one uses towels - Lack of management - Unfriendly staff - Machines and treadmills always broken and no one ever attends to fix them for weeks or even put an out of order sign on them for weeks - Dirty and smelly bathrooms - Personal trainers are so up themselves they’re always taking up 3-4 machines selfishly cos they think they own the gymIf you honestly sign up at this gym you have rocks in your head. Take my advice and run the other way and don’t be fooled by the sales people at the front desk as those fake smiles are only to sing you up and when you’re signed up the smiles are gone including your own smile as you will have the worst experience here.Shame on fitness first for having such a disgraceful gym.They should rename it to Shitness First!!
Huge selection of gym equipment, a lot of space and great facilities. Can't think of a single negative staff experience in the 6 months I've been training here. Just be prepared to switch up your workouts in the busier times as it can get packed around 9am and 6pm.Must say though, dumbbells are always out of order or misplaced around the gym, could probably have staff do an occasional loop to collect and reorder them.
The gym has declined in the last few years and none of the management or head office care. The black label bathroom is filthy. The shower walls are full of grime. Floors are dirty. Fresh towels are an issue on a Monday morning. Running toilet for a week and still not repaired. The equipment is often broken, weights are lying on the floor and not replaced. Benches are ripped and broken. Very diappointed member who trains everyday, uses the showers and has been a member for at least 10 years FF get your act together.
I have a Fitness Passport pass so I use multiple gyms from different franchises. Today I used UFC gym at Macarthur Square and the facilities are top notch. Clean showers and all equipment in good working order. This is a vast contrast to the Bondi junction FF where every second piece of equipment is out of order, the bathrooms are not clean and the showers have mouldy ceilings.
