Not sure why such a low rating as the gym is massive and has such a large range of equipment. Angela was very pleasant to deal with regarding membership enquires. Pros: - Large space with adequate machines - Parking available albeit inconvenient - Large stretching room - Steam room Cons - Bathrooms located away from the gym on ground floor- toilet floor area is damp and not very pleasant to use - A/C doesn’t seem turned on at late night
A bit disappointing, has recently rebrended from fitness first and since then swimming pool has been working on and off for weeks and has been completely closed for more than a month now. Only advice on when it will be fixed is NO ADVICE, NO TIMEFRAME, NO REFUND. Half of the lockers are not quite working and overall the feel is a bit rundown. On the plus side they have nice yoga classes on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Probably wouldn't recommend joining until the gym owners get their act together and bring it up to scratch with what was originally sold as the deal when existing members joined.
This gym only cares about taking your membership fee. I called them to tell them when I became ill with with Covid and wouldn't be coming in until I was recovered. It hit me hard and after I recovered 6 weeks later I noticed that they'd started charging me full price again after 2 weeks. I called to rectify the situation and they were incredibly rude and told me they can't backdate changes membership fee charges, even it was their fault they did not put my account on hold properly. Have called a number of times and not received any callbacks. Worst customer service I've experienced in a long time, if ever
Next week will be my last week with this gym after 11years of membership. Just felt things went downhill pretty quick after the transition from fitness first to good life, the horrible customer service has become the last straw to make me decide to switch to another gym. Constantly Ignoring complain emails regarding gym facilities, staffs show zero support. Especially when I found out I have been paying more for my membership compared to the price on the website, I called them, just been told the price is for new members only. Wouldn’t recommend this gym to any of my friends.
Tired and rusty gym, rude staff members and very good steam room Fitness First Lutwyche is one of the worst gym I visited in my life. Everything starts from reception. Rude staff member, completely disinterested in customer service was such a shock - it is Australia, 2021, Brisbane. The equipment is old and very rusty. I could not imagine such a shame in a leading Australian fitness club company. Many pieces of equipment look like stocked in a gar as hd for 30 years. Showers look unmaintained, with shampoo dispensers ripped off. The only plus - a great steam room with stoned benches, cold shower and great steam.
