My partner and I both use genesis on a fitness partner and really enjoy the gym facilities and the staff are always extremely welcoming and kind. The Gym facilities are always kept clean and hygienic and in good safe order.
Great Gym. My old gym moved and I wasn’t keen on starting at a new gym at all. Went and spoke to the team at Genisis Thuringowa, they set me up with a free 7 day trial so I could see if I liked the place before committing. Great gym, always clean, staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, and all the members have been great as well. Really happy with the change, and enjoying the facility.
Decent gym, clean and good equipment, but they blast their music way too loud. Between the hours of 4pm-7pm there is a class that controls the music for the whole gym, turning it up to uncomfortable and possibly unsafe levels. I go to the gym with noise canceling headphones and can't hear my audiobooks unless I turn the volume to unsafe levels and even then I only just hear it over their music. I've talked to the front desk before and been brushed off saying it motivates people. Hearing damage shouldn't be a motivator, you are there to get healthy not lose your hearing.
Weeks without a lat pull down machine and still no water bubbler after over a month of the new gym being active. The gym is consistently a mess and left uncleaned by staff. I pick up rubbish all the time during my session. I chose to leave the oaks bottle featured in one of my photos after spotting it two weeks ago to see how long it would take to be picked up and it has been left untouched. I’m not impressed. Am genuinely considering moving to worlds after recommending the old genesis to quite a few people. Sort it out genesis or we will move. Update : Another poor example of lazy management. The equipment shown in the pictures I have uploaded has been out of order for well over a week and half now and staff work 5 days a week. Go figure
Liked the feel of Townsville Genesis gym, everything you need for a good hit out. Plenty of classes for those that love them. I understand they are making a move to new premises and I am sure it will be fantastic. Special mention to Veejay on the front desk, thanks for being cool!
