In the years I've held a gym membership, I have not come across poor communication upon joining a gym. The sign up process is via a tablet 'docusign' style process which regurgitates generic legal jargon but doesn't actually state important membership details like contract start/end dates, when payments will be debited, transaction fees and other important membership details. They provide you with a postcard with gym membership types/costs but nothing tells you about other charges until you start seeing unexpected debit values on your account. In non staffed hours hoards of non gym members (don't have an access card) are let into the gym by members who are clearly not there to work out and get in the way of legitimate members whilst making alot of noise and being a general nuisance. The staff here are nice though, even the cleaners are friendly and curtious. Some of the equipment was also looking a worn but they have finally replaced some accessories lately making it a better place to work out again. This gym does tend to attract a younger gym goer who simply don't worry about returning equipment to the correct place after use, so many tripping accidents waiting to happen with various articles strewn across the floor. Finding parking is difficult at the times you want to work out, especially after work evenings and most hours weekends. They've also installed more motion sensor activated air freshers which are intensely irritating and unhealthy to breathe in as there isn't any fresh ventilation, so you are forced to breathe in those toxic chemicals, which also burn your eyes. This should be made illegal. Ironic, you're going to gym to improve your health and fitness but then get exposed to toxic chemicals in these intense bursts of chemicals.
