Zap Fitness Sandy Bay is a great bargain gym for students and fitness enthusiasts alike. Customers appreciate the friendly and enthusiastic staff, the clean and comfortable environment, and the fact that membership comes with access to all other Zap Fitness locations around Australia. The gym is small but functional, and although it lacks some of the equipment available at other Zap locations, customers are rarely left waiting for equipment. Customers also appreciate the fact that the gym is well located and that the staff are always friendly and helpful.
The gym is also well maintained and clean, and customers have commented on the fact that most gym goers are good at cleaning up after themselves. Unfortunately, the gym is often crowded due to its small size, and customers have also mentioned that there is a lack of basic equipment and that the stepper has been out of order for a few months. Additionally, customers have expressed dissatisfaction with the dishonour fee and the fact that the gym plays the news, which can be a mood killer.

Have to add some more sets of light dumbbells and plates. It’s small gym, crowded and have to wait hours to get your turn.
Really not a fan of the dishonour fee with no warning. If I pay the same day an automated payment doesn't work why do you need to charge $10 for that?
one of the worst gym ever. It’s Small than my room and no more equipments . They should charge 5$ for this tiny gym rather than ripping people money
limited space for body weight exercises beyond sit ups etc, no duplicates of popular dumb bells so you can be waiting also no fixed barbells rack as per other gyms which would be nice addition (10-30kg)
Honestly the cleanest Zap I've worked out at, most gym goers are good at cleaning up after themselves here as well. Staff are really friendly here. Although it is on the small side which means it can get crowded and you sometimes have to be strategic with your routine.
